2 days/week at home β’ Fully flexible hoursEmma was diagnosed with autism at a young age. Knowing phone calls were one of her biggest fears, she deliberately took a job that required her to make them every day.
That decision led her to SAP in Ireland, where she joined the Customer Interaction Center (CIC) as a Support Engineer through the Autism at Work program.
Here, she found something she hadn't expected. Her team communicated clearly, a mentor had her back, and for the first time, being wired differently felt like an advantage.
The early days had their challenges, but with the right support she found her rhythm and now she's one of the steady voices customers rely on.
At work, sheβs open about her autism. Colleagues come to her when someone in their family gets a diagnosis. She's become the visibility she never had growing up.
She says, "You're usually far more capable than you think." π
At SAP, we believe neurodiversity makes us stronger and we're incredibly excited that our new Neuroinclusive Network employee network group now offers support to people who think differently across our company.

For Joe, an Engineering Transformation Lead, taking shared parental leave wasnβt just about time away from work - it was about building confidence, connection and a deeper bond with his son.
βParenting did not come naturally to me. Iβm far more at home with tools and wires and engines than a baby. Looking back now, Iβm convinced this time together helped shape me as a father and strengthened my bond with Benedict far more than if Iβd returned to work full time after paternity leave.β

When Johnβs daughter was born, unexpected complications meant his family needed extra support. Living far from relatives, that additional paid leave made a real difference at a critical moment.
βHaving more paid paternity leave than the statutory requirement greatly benefited our family. I was able to care for my wife on her recovery journey, and spend more time bonding with my new daughter before I went back to work.β
That time meant John could return to work feeling reassured and supported,.
