About this Role

We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Specialist to support and enhance vulnerability assessment services across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments and technology platforms. This role focuses on identifying security vulnerabilities, managing enterprise scanning platforms, validating findings, driving remediation activities, and providing clear risk-based reporting to stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with technology, security and operational teams to improve the organisation’s security posture and reduce cyber risk.

What you’ll do

• Execute vulnerability assessments and security scans across systems, infrastructure, applications and cloud environments.
• Manage and administer vulnerability scanning platforms, ensuring effective coverage and service quality.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for vulnerability scanning and assessment services.
• Identify, validate and prioritise vulnerabilities, including emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities.
• Produce detailed technical reports and communicate findings, risks and remediation recommendations to stakeholders.
• Track remediation progress and collaborate with infrastructure, application and security teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Support security incident response activities through vulnerability discovery and analysis during cyber security events.
• Drive continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes, services and operating procedures.
• Contribute to scanner onboarding, service enhancements and operational reporting.
• Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures and governance records related to vulnerability management activities.
• Integrate assessment findings to provide a holistic view of the security posture across organisational assets.

Who you are

• Demonstrated experience in vulnerability scanner management and vulnerability assessment with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Qualys VMDR, Web Application Scanning (WAS), cloud scanning management and enterprise vulnerability assessment tools.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management methodologies, risk analysis, remediation tracking and security operations.
• Experience with tools such as Nessus, OpenVAS, Acunetix, Retina, Nmap, Metasploit Framework and related security technologies.
• Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, web applications, virtualisation platforms, networking and infrastructure security.
• Knowledge of OWASP, CVE management, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, SSL/PKI, IAM, multi-factor authentication, perimeter security and SIEM solutions.
• Experience compiling vulnerability assessment and penetration testing reports.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with global customers and cross-functional teams.
