About this Role
We are seeking a Voice Core Specialist to support the testing, validation, and improvement of Voice and Data Mobile interconnect systems in line with 3GPP standards. The role focuses on verifying system information, testing new software releases, and ensuring accurate data processing for roaming services across European Vodafone operators. The individual will work closely with diverse teams to maintain high‑quality performance of roaming databases and support commercial roaming agreements.
What you will do
- Verify and test the performance of system information and software functions for Voice and Data Mobile interconnect systems.
- Test functionalities of new software releases and ensure accurate updates to roaming database structures for commercial roaming services.
- Define software requirements for the Voice Core interconnection information system and identify consistency issues within IR.21 and IR.85 data.
- Create client‑specific software and hardware design specifications for Voice Core interconnection tools.
- Participate in testing initiatives for new functionalities developed based on prior requirements.
- Contribute to automation of configuration processes and propose software enhancements for applications that use IR.21 and IR.85 documentation.
- Support delivery of configuration files, conduct audits, and perform regular health checks for roaming partnerships.
Who you are
- A quick learner with a reliable, collaborative approach.Comfortable working across diverse teams and departments.
- Possess strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Knowledgeable in mobile network architectures and systems.
- Experienced in IREG and roaming integration testing across multiple platforms.
- Customer‑focused and proficient in MS Office.
- Possess more than two years of telecom experience, with in‑depth knowledge of roaming signalling for voice and data traffic.
