About this Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to support, manage, and optimise IMS and CS Core network elements to ensure the stability, reliability, and quality of voice and multimedia services. The individual will contribute to incident resolution, performance analysis, configuration activities, software lifecycle management, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external partners. This role is well‑suited for those who thrive in dynamic operational environments and are committed to continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

Core Network Support

  • Support IMS network elements including Ericsson MTAS, CSCF, HSS, IPWorks, MSC, MGW, SBC, and STP.
  • Maintain service availability, performance, and compliance with operational processes.
  • Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation for proactive and reactive support.
  • Assist in service introduction and handle supplier engagement.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Respond promptly to service degradations and major incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis and workarounds to minimise service disruption.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure timely resolution.

Performance & Availability Management

  • Act as system owner, overseeing platform support.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyse performance trends, and support improvement forums.
  • Review network changes to safeguard service integrity.

Proactive Service Assurance

  • Carry out regular health checks and KPI monitoring.
  • Conduct resilience and failure analysis.
  • Engage with vendors for continual improvement initiatives.

Network Configuration Work

  • Perform fraud barring for A and B numbers.
  • Configure new number ranges on the Vodafone network.
  • Support isolation of nodes from MSC for other teams.

Supplier & Third‑Party Management

  • Support vendor issue resolution and track SLAs.
  • Participate in compliance audits.

Change Management & New Service Introduction

  • Ensure changes are implemented safely and efficiently.
  • Follow testing, documentation, and governance protocols.

Software Rollout (LCM)

  • Load new software in lab environments, progressing to live deployment post‑testing.

Knowledge Sharing & Training

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team and wider organisation.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues and frontline teams.
  • Maintain clear stakeholder communication.

Who you are

Strong understanding of IMS architecture (CSCF, MTAS, HSS, SBC) and CS Core nodes (MSC, MGW).Skilled in telecom protocols such as SIP, Diameter, SS7, SIGTRAN.Experienced in VoLTE/VoNR call flows and IMS registration.Familiar with virtualisation platforms (VMware, OpenStack) and Linux systems.Capable of troubleshooting using tools and scripting (Python/Bash preferred).Comfortable working in high‑pressure, 24x7 operational environments.Effective communicator with strong collaboration abilities.Adaptable to emerging technologies including NFV, SDN, and Cloud IMS.Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.Possesses 8–12 years of experience in IMS and CS Core operations, ideally across multi‑vendor environments.Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are preferred.
