Who we are
We’re here to build a network the UK can count on - one that connects people, places and potential. At VodafoneThree we’re not just expanding connectivity, we’re reimagining what a connected nation looks like. With £11bn invested in 5G and digital infrastructure, your work will directly power businesses, services and communities across the country.
We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress - today.
Welcome to a place where you’re connected
At VodafoneThree, you won’t just start an apprenticeship, you’ll start shaping a future. From your very first day, you’ll be welcomed into a community that knows the value you bring, supported by experienced mentors who guide, encourage and challenge you. You’ll work on meaningful projects that help build the UK best network, all while developing your confidence, capability and skills.
Whatever path you’re stepping from - sixth form, college or a career change - this is where you take your next step with purpose. Here, you’ll find an environment built on collaboration, shared experience and teams who always have your back. This is a place where people know you, where your contribution matters and where you become part of something bigger.
What you’ll do
You'll join our Vodafone Business Security Enhanced (VBSE) team, which delivers cyber security and secure technology solutions that help government, public sector, defence, and critical national infrastructure stay resilient, connected, and safeguarded against evolving threats.
In this role, you can choose to be out in the field with our Field Engineering team, travelling to network sites to install and maintain the VBSE network, or based in our Farnborough office with the Transmission team, where you’ll keep our networks running smoothly from behind the scenes. Whichever path you choose, you’ll be hands‑on with real network solutions, learning from industry experts and helping to keep our customers connected, protected, and powered every day.
You will:
- Help build and maintain the secure networks that protect some of the UK’s most critical organisations.
- Get hands‑on with cutting‑edge network tech, from core transmission systems like DWDM and Ethernet to fibre and copper cabling and termination.
- Engage with internal and external customers confidently and professionally, providing timely updates and solving problems collaboratively.
- Follow important safety practices to protect yourself, your team, and the network.
Alongside your day-to-day role, you’ll study toward a Level 4 Network Engineer apprenticeship, delivered by one of our trusted training partners.
Who you are
- You enjoy figuring things out, whether that’s solving problems or learning new technical skills.
- You put safety first, always making smart choices and keeping yourself and your colleagues safe.
- This role can be based either in the office or out in the field. For field‑based work, you’ll need a clean driving licence, be comfortable travelling as needed with a flexible approach to working hours and be able to work safely at height.
- You must hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English & Maths at Grade 4/C or above by September 2026.
- Must meet UK Government apprenticeship levy funding eligibility requirements.
This position requires the ability to obtain and hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
