Job Description

Location: Newbury + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Hybrid

We believe that through collaboration and connection with our colleagues we can achieve great things. Our hybrid working approach allows our people to work both in the office and at home, providing the flexibility and resources you need to succeed in your role. We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2-3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

Who We Are

We’re here to build a network the UK can count on – one that connects people, places and potential. Because no matter where you live, what your background is, or how you get online – we think everyone deserves the same chance to stay connected, and with VodafoneThree, that future’s being built – today.

We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We believe that everyone should feel they belong. Whoever you are and whatever your story, there’s space for you here. We’re building a workplace where different perspectives are welcomed, voices are heard, and everyone feels safe to show up as themselves.

You’ll join a team that genuinely cares – about each other, about our customers, and about the future we’re building. From day one, you’ll be welcomed, valued and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Why VodafoneThree

Join us and you’ll be at the heart of change. That means building responsibly, investing sustainably and creating opportunities that last.

We’re not just expanding connectivity; we’re reimagining what a connected nation looks like. With £11bn invested in 5G and digital infrastructure, your work will directly power businesses, services, and communities across the country.

You’ll work on real challenges, with real impact, across every corner of the country. Wherever you join us, whatever your role, you’ll be helping to build a future that works better for everyone.

We move at pace, because what we’re building matters – and we’re learning as we go. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re just getting started.

Be part of our Business UK function, a team that are revolutionising how customers use technology and connectivity. With our extensive range of products and services, we help all kinds of organisations – from small, local businesses to multi-national corporations – unlocking the potential of new technologies, including 5G, AI and the Internet of Things (IoT).

What you’ll do

As a Channel Manager within our Private Sector team, you will play a pivotal role in helping VodafoneThree deliver growth, retention, and long-term value across some of our largest multinational customers and brands. You will work in a dynamic, performance-focused environment where you will translate commercial strategy into action, collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions, and help shape exceptional outcomes throughout the customer lifecycle. If you enjoy combining commercial thinking with analytical insight, influencing stakeholders, and driving meaningful results, this role will offer you the opportunity to make a visible impact.

You will:

  • Deliver acquisition, retention, and in-life performance targets across a defined Industry Verticals account portfolio.
  • Turn channel priorities into clear execution plans that support commercial objectives and business growth.
  • Coordinate and execute trading plans, proposition launches, and commercial initiatives to maximise performance.
  • Manage the commercial lifecycle of your portfolio, including new business opportunities, renewals, retention activity, and churn reduction.
  • Monitor performance trends and proactively identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Trading and Channel Management teams to convert data and insights into actions that improve commercial outcomes.
  • Drive channel financial performance and support delivery against in-year and next-year revenue and margin targets.
  • Take ownership of customer P&L performance, ensuring value is protected and enhanced throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support delivery of Margin Improvement Plans and Risk & Opportunity initiatives, ensuring priorities are executed effectively and benefits are realised.
  • Lead channel planning and forecasting activities in line with governance processes, financial cycles, and business assumptions.
  • Ensure sales performance, AOV, and MAOV data is accurately validated and aligned with commercial controls.
  • Use performance insights, including churn, usage, and value analysis, to recommend and implement targeted interventions.
  • Partner with colleagues across Go-To-Market, CVM, Marketing, Propositions, Sales, Finance, and Operations to align priorities and unlock value.
  • Help strengthen execution discipline, governance, accountability, and performance standards across the channel.

Who you are

  • You will bring experience in channel management, account performance management, or a similar commercially focused role.
  • You will demonstrate strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate strategic priorities into practical delivery.
  • You will have a proven track record of improving business performance and delivering measurable commercial results.
  • You will feel confident making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • You will be comfortable managing multiple initiatives while maintaining focus on both short-term delivery and long-term value.
  • You will use data and analysis to guide decisions and identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and optimisation.
  • You will be a clear and effective communicator who can build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • You will collaborate positively across teams and functions, creating alignment and momentum around shared goals.
  • You will combine a performance-driven mindset with a supportive and inclusive approach to teamwork.
  • You will bring strong organisational skills and a disciplined approach to governance, planning, and execution.
  • You will be motivated by achieving results while maintaining a high standard of integrity, accountability, and customer focus.
  • You will thrive in a complex, matrix environment where collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement are valued.
