Job Description

Location: Newbury + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Hybrid

We believe that through collaboration and connection with our colleagues we can achieve great things. Our hybrid working approach allows our people to work both in the office and at home, providing the flexibility and resources you need to succeed in your role. We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2-3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

Who We Are

We’re here to build a network the UK can count on – one that connects people, places and potential. Because no matter where you live, what your background is, or how you get online – we think everyone deserves the same chance to stay connected, and with VodafoneThree, that future’s being built – today.

We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We believe that everyone should feel they belong. Whoever you are and whatever your story, there’s space for you here. We’re building a workplace where different perspectives are welcomed, voices are heard, and everyone feels safe to show up as themselves.

You’ll join a team that genuinely cares – about each other, about our customers, and about the future we’re building. From day one, you’ll be welcomed, valued and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Why VodafoneThree

Join us and you’ll be at the heart of change. That means building responsibly, investing sustainably and creating opportunities that last.

We’re not just expanding connectivity; we’re reimagining what a connected nation looks like. With £11bn invested in 5G and digital infrastructure, your work will directly power businesses, services, and communities across the country.

You’ll work on real challenges, with real impact, across every corner of the country. Wherever you join us, whatever your role, you’ll be helping to build a future that works better for everyone.

We move at pace, because what we’re building matters – and we’re learning as we go. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re just getting started.

Be part of our Business UK function, a team that are revolutionising how customers use technology and connectivity. With our extensive range of products and services, we help all kinds of organisations – from small, local businesses to multi-national corporations – unlocking the potential of new technologies, including 5G, AI and the Internet of Things (IoT).

What you’ll do

As Channel Manager – Acquisition (Private Sector), you'll take ownership of the performance of a defined acquisition portfolio, helping to grow new business while maximising value across existing customers. You'll combine commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and strong stakeholder collaboration to ensure opportunities are translated into measurable results. Working in a highly performance-focused environment, you'll identify risks, unlock growth opportunities, and help deliver strategic priorities through disciplined execution.

You will:

  • Drive acquisition and in-life performance across your channel portfolio, delivering against commercial, financial, and customer value targets.
  • Turn channel priorities into clear execution plans that support business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Support the successful delivery of trading plans, proposition launches, and commercial initiatives through effective coordination and execution.
  • Manage acquisition inflow and customer lifecycle activity in line with agreed commercial frameworks and governance requirements.
  • Take ownership of portfolio performance, balancing new business growth with value optimisation across the existing customer base.
  • Use performance data, KPIs, and financial insights to support trading decisions and maximise channel performance.
  • Monitor results closely, identifying risks and implementing targeted actions to address performance challenges and protect value.
  • Collaborate with Trading and Channel Management teams to translate commercial insights into practical actions that improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and delivery, ensuring channel performance supports both current-year and future-year objectives.
  • Manage customer P&L considerations, including work-in-progress tracking, value optimisation, and delivery alignment.
  • Support the execution of Margin Improvement Plans and revenue opportunities, ensuring initiatives are delivered effectively and benefits are realised.
  • Maintain accurate channel forecasting and planning activities, aligned to governance frameworks, financial cycles, and business assumptions.
  • Partner with commissions and wider business teams to validate sales performance data and ensure compliance with commercial controls.
  • Deliver performance insight across areas such as retention, usage, customer value, and churn, helping to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Turn analytics into focused, high-impact interventions that strengthen performance and forecast delivery.

Who you are

  • You have experience in channel management, commercial performance management, or a similar customer-focused growth role.
  • You bring strong commercial awareness and can translate strategic objectives into effective operational activity.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and decisions need to be made with confidence.
  • You combine analytical thinking with practical problem-solving to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • You are confident interpreting performance metrics, commercial data, and financial information to drive action.
  • You have experience managing or influencing commercial performance against KPIs and revenue targets.
  • You are a clear communicator who can explain complex information in a simple, engaging way.
  • You build trusted relationships quickly and can influence stakeholders across different teams and levels of the organisation.
  • You balance collaboration and accountability, bringing others together while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes.
  • You have a proactive mindset and enjoy identifying opportunities to improve performance and deliver additional value.
  • You are organised and disciplined in your approach, ensuring strong governance, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • You thrive in environments that reward both strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • You value diverse perspectives and enjoy working in inclusive, collaborative teams where everyone can contribute and succeed.
