What you’ll do

Role purpose:

The VBTS Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery, performance, cost efficiency, and continuous evolution of Vodafone Business Technology Services.
The role owns the service delivery operating model across Connectivity, Network & ICT Managed Services, Technical Support, Field Operations, and complex Enterprise and Public Sector projects (including Syzefxis), ensuring reliable service performance, scalable operations, and optimized cost‑to‑serve.
The VBTS Manager leads large, multi‑disciplinary technical organizations and vendor ecosystems, drives operational transformation and automation, and ensures that service capabilities evolve in line with Vodafone Business growth strategy and customer expectations.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

1. End to end delivery Ownership

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery and support model for VBTS services, covering product/solution delivery, managed services, technical support, and field operations.
• Accountable for service availability, stability, quality, and customer experience across all supported domains.

2. Operational performance and cost efficiency

• Own operational KPIs including service availability, SLA performance, incident resolution, and delivery effectiveness.
• Drive cost‑to‑serve optimization, productivity improvements, and operational efficiency across teams and suppliers.
• Define and execute continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardization, automation, and tooling evolution.

3. Technology and Support Model Evolution

• Lead the evolution of the VBTS operating model, ensuring alignment with business growth, portfolio evolution, and customer complexity.
• Sponsor and govern the adoption of new technologies, skills, platforms, and tools that improve service quality, scalability, and efficiency.

4. Public Sector and Complex Solutions Delivery

• Own delivery assurance for large‑scale and high‑complexity programs, including Public Sector initiatives such as Syzefxis.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, security, and government requirements.
• Act as escalation owner for critical delivery risks and service incidents.

5. Vendor and Ecosystem Management

• Own strategic relationships with vendors, integrators, and partners supporting VBTS operations
• Govern vendor performance, cost, and contractual compliance.
• Drive sourcing and partner strategies that balance quality, resilience, and cost efficiency.

Who you are

Must have qualifications:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 10+ years’ experience in technical, service delivery, or operational leadership roles within Telecoms or IT
• Proven experience managing managers and large technical teams in complex environments

Desired:

• Post‑graduate qualification (MBA or equivalent)
• Experience with large public sector or mission‑critical enterprise programs
