Role Purpoe

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Integration Manager to join a dynamic and diverse team in this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the OpenRAN Vendors and 3rd Parties through the OpenRAN System Integration processes including managing a 3rd Party System Integrator and wider system integration related tasks in other projects.

Ensuring the testing and releases are of sufficient quality to enter the Vodafone Central OpenRAN lab, achieved by managing and governing the 3rd Party System Integrator and respective OpenRAN Vendors through a predefined process. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders across the business will be key to success, with the end goal to ensure seamless deployment and optimal performance of our network systems resulting in the highest quality software and systems as possible.

Our ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in system integration, package and/or release management, and a good understanding of OpenRAN technologies backed up with good technical knowledge of RAN systems with a proven track record of programme delivery of contractual and commercial milestones.

What you’ll do

System Integration

As system integrator manager you will be responsible for the interface between all Vendors and internal stakeholders ensuring a successful Software release. This includes:

  • Collaboration and Coordination of OpenRAN release schedules in conjunction with the OpenRAN vendors to ensure a timely delivery of Major and Minor releases.
    • Foster a collaborative ecosystem to streamline communication and problem-solving across stakeholders.
    • Close interaction with Vodafone Package and Release manager throughout the process.
  • Governance of the 3rd Party System Integrators End-to-end testing (in vendor labs and 3rd Party SI environment) to validate functionality, performance, security and reliability representative of Vodafone deployments.
    • Ensuring integration of hardware and software from multiple vendors to form a cohesive OpenRAN package.
    • Ensuring interoperability of all OpenRAN elements, including radios, COTS, CaaS and network management systems
  • Validation of OpenRAN readiness for commercial service, maintaining operational performance and reliability through robust system release management processes.
  • Influence and leverage collaborations through our technology, partners and OpenRAN industry forums for Product Integration best practices, Network Services, solutions, Support and E2E testing.
  • Drive Year on year cost reduction and process/platform efficiency improvements

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in system integration and release management, preferably in telecommunications.
  • Strong contract and commercial understandin, Knowledge of OpenRAN technologies, standards, and interfaces.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-vendor integration projects and complex release processes.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing, deployment tools, and CI/CD practices, Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex topics simultaneously, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
