About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Tools & Deployment Centre of Excellence. In this role, you will support the design, integration, deployment and operation of modern cloud-native platforms serving multiple Vodafone markets globally. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering secure, scalable and production-ready solutions across private cloud environments, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, containerisation technologies and DevOps practices. This opportunity is ideally suited to an individual with experience in system integration, platform operations, service management and cloud-native application delivery.

What you’ll do

Lead the integration, implementation and support of DevOps tools and platform services.Manage Kubernetes, Docker and API management platform integrations within enterprise environments.Take ownership of platform migrations, upgrades and release deployments.Monitor and maintain application and infrastructure availability across UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.Ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed service level commitments.Prioritise and manage multiple operational cases simultaneously while maintaining service quality.Perform technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex platform and infrastructure issues.Support database-related investigations and issue resolution.Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders where required to support service delivery.Maintain and continuously improve technical documentation, knowledge repositories and operational procedures.Contribute to service management activities and platform lifecycle management.Ensure technical solutions are well-documented, practical and aligned with operational requirements.

Who you are

Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies.Strong knowledge of Docker and cloud-native application deployment practices.Experience working with Kafka and microservices-based architectures.Knowledge of database technologies including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and Cassandra.Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Ruby or Go.Understanding of UNIX/Linux administration and platform operations.Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies including DNS, Proxy and connectivity concepts.Experience in system integration, deployment and operational support environments.Familiarity with cloud technologies; AWS experience is advantageous.Exposure to Redshift is beneficial.Understanding of software or web development concepts is considered an advantage.Knowledge of Remedy and ITIL service management practices is desirable.Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic operational environment.
