Role Purpose/Business Unit:
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining decisioning workflows and integrations within the DataView360 platform to support automated credit vetting, scoring, and risk-based decisioning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and configure credit decisioning rules, workflows, and data integrations within the DataView360 platform.
- Collaborate with credit risk analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Integrate external data sources (e.g., credit bureaus, fraud detection services) via APIs and batch processes.
- Optimize system performance and ensure high availability of credit vetting services.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, rules, and system interfaces.
- Support testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of new features and enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and financial regulations (e.g., POPIA, GDPR, PCI DSS).
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Matric is essential
- A relevant IT 3-year tertiary qualification is essential.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a software development environment is essential.
- Understanding of credit scoring models, risk segmentation, and loan origination workflows.
Job knowledge:
- Solid knowledge of credit vetting processes, including scorecard logic, affordability assessments, and risk segmentation.
- Experience configuring decision trees, rules engines, and workflow orchestration
- Agile/Scrum development experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, Mongo).
- Familiarity with credit decisioning systems, ideally DataView360 or similar platforms (e.g. Experian, TransUnion, XDS etc.).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, and data integration techniques.
- Understanding of credit scoring models, risk segmentation, and loan origination workflows.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
