Role Purpose/Business Unit:
To perform operational functions related to faults and configurations across systems and applications under the responsibility of Core Data Networks
Your responsibilities will include:
Support
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unix/Linux systems.
- Monitor the performance of the systems and applications.
- Attend to faults and incidents related to systems and applications.
- Evaluate and implement system OS software releases for systems.
- Engage with engineering, regional operations and ASOC teams to understand and address network concerns.
Planning
- Engage with engineering and regional operations teams to define service requirements
- Evaluate system architecture and recommend system improvements
- Compile detailed system design and implementation plans
- Compile and keep site documentation up to date.
- Audit the site configurations and ensure alignment to architecture standards
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
- Knowledge of TCP/IP Operations
- Knowledge of DNS Operations
- Knowledge of Linux principles and operations
- Knowledge of IP networking technologies.
- Network Security Protocols and Services
- Ability to build CI/CD pipelines
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A bachelor’s degree or 3-year diploma in Information Technology or Electrical Engineering
- 3 years technical experience
