About this Role

We are seeking a Software Tester (Manual & Automation) with 2-4 years of relevant experience and a B.Tech degree to take end-to-end ownership of System Integration Testing (SIT) execution for CCS releases across one or more workstreams. The role involves end-to-end journey validation, progression and regression testing, defect management, evidence preparation and ADO compliance.ou will collaborate with Development, Environment, VES, Project, FUT and Business stakeholders to investigate issues, drive defect closure and demonstrate SIT outcomes. The role also provides exposure to Mobile manual testing, CTDA and test automation execution.

What you’ll do

  • Take end-to-end ownership of allocated test execution for CCS releases across one or more workstreams.
  • Understand capabilities through preparation and design artefacts, perform high-level sanity checks and execute comprehensive end-to-end progression and regression coverage.
  • Capture complete, reusable test evidence, including screenshots and logs, while maintaining accurate ADO status, attachments, defect links, blocked-test details and execution attempts.
  • Manage defect triage and closure in collaboration with Development, Environment, VES, Project and FUT teams, providing clear issue details, test data, environment information and supporting evidence.
  • Prepare and present SIT evidence during Show & Tell sessions, address stakeholder queries independently and share supporting documentation.
  • Replicate FUT issues, communicate progress, raise and manage associated SIT defects and identify opportunities for earlier issue detection.
  • Follow organisational policies, mandatory governance requirements, Vodafone Spirit behaviours, time and leave reporting, training and survey requirements.
  • Contribute to CTDA and automation adoption by reusing automated test data, supporting walkthroughs and taking handover of automated execution capabilities.
  • Develop hands-on knowledge across Mobile manual and automation testing areas and support flexible allocation across teams.

Who you are

  • You have a B.Tech degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • You have a strong understanding of the SIT lifecycle, end-to-end journey validation, progression testing, regression testing, ADO compliance and defect governance.
  • You can interpret preparation and design documentation and translate it into effective test execution.
  • You communicate clearly with Development, Environment, VES, Project, FUT, Business and other stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate ownership, accountability, analytical thinking, attention to detail and disciplined evidence management.
  • You have working knowledge of Mobile testing, CTDA, test automation execution and automated test-data utilisation.
  • You are confident in demonstrations, defect triage, issue replication, root-cause analysis and stakeholder query handling.
