About this Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Test Automation & Quality Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions through comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices. This role combines manual and automation testing responsibilities, with a strong focus on functional, integration, system, regression, and backend validation activities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify issues, improve product quality, and enhance testing efficiency through automation.

What you’ll do

  • Analyse business and system requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Design appropriate test data and execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing activities.
  • Manage defects throughout the complete defect lifecycle, including logging, tracking, retesting, verification, and closure.
  • Participate in defect triage discussions and collaborate with development teams to support timely issue resolution.
  • Perform SQL-based data validation and backend testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Execute testing activities in Unix/Linux environments and contribute to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute Selenium automation scripts to improve testing efficiency, consistency, and coverage.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, testing standards, and industry best practices, including ISTQB principles.
  • Apply analytical thinking, problem-solving techniques, and debugging skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance testing effectiveness and delivery quality.

Who you are

Essential

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree, preferably in Engineering or another technical discipline.
  • Experience in software testing across functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Strong knowledge of test case design, execution, and defect management processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL queries and database validation activities.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience in defect tracking and collaboration with development teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desired

  • ISTQB Certification.
  • Experience with Selenium automation.
  • Experience with Selenium using Python.
