Join Us

As a software developer working for Vodafone Romania Technologies, you will be part of an international team responsible for developing strategic tools used by Vodafone Group & local markets. Your work involves finding and implementing the proper technical solutions to automate the lifecycle of SDWAN products, including zero-touch provisioning, inventory management, alarm management and API standardization. All delivered functionalities must correspond to business requirements and at the same time fit Vodafone’s strategy for software engineering.

The developed solutions are complex—combining databases, business logic, AI‑driven automation capabilities, and integrations with various systems and components. In this process, you will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of technologies, tools, and modern engineering practices, including machine learning–based approaches for improving operational efficiency.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with architects and data specialists to integrate ML models into existing SDWAN automation workflows

• Identify opportunities to apply AI/ML techniques to automate processes, improve decision‑making, and increase system efficiency

• Develop well-structured code following company standards
• Document enhancements made and system changes
• Ability to excel in a distributed team model environment
• Provide input to impact analysis on other systems
• Coordinate the code development and delivery process based on requirements, considering all the aspects of product development life cycle
• Provide accurate estimates (time & effort) for upcoming features based on specifications

• Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to their technical growth

Who you are

  • Hands‑on experience with AI/ML concepts (e.g., predictive analytics, anomaly detection, clustering, automation models)
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑Learn) and ability to integrate ML pipelines into production systems
  • Understanding of data engineering workflows and MLOps practices (model training, validation, deployment, monitoring)
  • Demonstrated industry experience in software development: python, APIs (TMforum), unit & integration testing
  • Good experience with DevOps technologies: AWS, docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • SDWAN automation experience ( VeloCloud, Meraki, Fortinet, Mist) is a plus
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Versioning systems (Git)
  • Agile experience (preferably Scrum, SAFe is a plus)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
