About this Role
We are seeking a skilled specialist to administer, optimise, and support enterprise-wide backup and recovery systems using Veeam Backup & Replication. The individual will ensure data reliability, compliance, and availability across physical and virtual environments while performing daily operations, incident resolution, documentation, and disaster recovery support.
What you will do
Install, configure, and administer Veeam Backup & Replication in large enterprise environments.Manage backup and replication jobs, retention policies, and validation processes.Perform full, incremental, and synthetic full backups, along with virtual machine restores and granular recovery.Troubleshoot issues related to backup failures, performance bottlenecks, proxies, repositories, and infrastructure integration.Optimise backup repositories, proxies, and storage systems to maintain efficient operations.Conduct monitoring, log analysis, daily health checks, and resolve incidents.Create and maintain standard operating procedures, architectural documentation, and reports.Provide L2/L3 support for backup and restore-related escalations.Support disaster recovery activities, failover testing, and periodic exercises.Perform basic monitoring and support for NetBackup restore jobs.
Who you are
Possess 8–10 years of experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication.Demonstrate strong understanding of VMware virtualisation environments.Have robust troubleshooting skills, especially across backup and restore workflows.Bring experience in performance tuning of backup proxies, repositories, and storage.Understand retention strategies, backup architecture, and disaster recovery concepts.Have sound networking fundamentals.Possess exposure to NetBackup monitoring or restore activities (beneficial).Bring knowledge of enterprise storage platforms and virtualisation concepts.PowerShell scripting knowledge is a plus.
