About this Role

We are seeking a Senior Networks Data Scientist to contribute to delivering a world-class customer experience by applying advanced data science and artificial intelligence to network operations. This role focuses on translating complex network datasets into actionable insights, enabling smarter technology decisions, and supporting the evolution towards agile, automated, and simplified network operations.

What you’ll do

  • Design and deliver Artificial Intelligence solutions for Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV).
  • Translate complex network datasets into strategic insights and scalable analytical capabilities.
  • Develop machine learning and AI models to improve network planning, optimisation, and performance.
  • Identify emerging analytics trends and opportunities to drive innovation across network domains.
  • Discover and evaluate new data sources and technologies to enhance data discovery and insight generation.
  • Analyse large-scale structured and unstructured datasets in both batch and real-time environments to uncover hidden relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with design, development, and support teams to proactively and reactively provide data-driven insights for product evolution and issue resolution.

Who you are

  • An experienced data science professional with hands-on expertise in deploying machine learning models at scale.
  • Confident working with extremely large volumes of structured and unstructured data in multi-tenant big data environments.
  • Skilled in integrating, linking, and combining multiple datasets to generate new insights.
  • Experienced with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, CartoDB, deck.gl, or MapBox.
  • Technically proficient in the Hadoop ecosystem (including Spark, Hive/Impala, HBase, and Yarn), with exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Comfortable programming in languages and tools such as Python, R, Java, SQL, NoSQL, TensorFlow, Keras, and related analytics frameworks.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning or LSTM models is considered an advantage.
