About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Architect to join Tech VOIS within the Global Service Line (GSL). In this role, you will work as an SDN and Security Product Architect, shaping and delivering modern connectivity and security products for business customers across a global footprint. This is a highly collaborative role, offering the opportunity to work closely with Commercial, Product Management, Technology teams, Group stakeholders, local markets, and external partners. You will act as technical design authority, ensuring solutions balance compliance, quality, cost, and time to market while aligning with Vodafone’s architectural, security, and regulatory standards.
What you’ll do
Engage with Commercial, Product Management, and Technology Product Owners to ensure high‑quality requirements and a healthy, prioritised product backlog.Translate functional and non‑functional requirements into end‑to‑end solution designs, including cost and delivery impact assessment.Own and deliver high‑level solution designs that meet product and customer requirements.Act as technical design authority, accountable for end‑to‑end solutions including service models, IT architecture, low‑level designs, security by design, privacy, and legal & regulatory compliance.Drive technical aspects of vendor management, setting priorities and supporting continuous product improvement.Contribute to and improve the in‑life operating model, owning product lifecycle activities and managing end‑of‑life events appropriately.Deliver technical product collateral such as Technical Service Descriptions, options papers, and product HLDs, and provide guidance to Solutions Consultants.Review supplier technical documentation and support delivery teams to align implementation with the product solution.Contribute to RFx creation and evaluation.Ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.Identify opportunities for innovation, ensuring customers benefit from the latest technological advances.Create and maintain clear, audience‑appropriate documentation and simplify complex technical topics for diverse stakeholders.
Who you are
- A collaborative and positive team player, comfortable addressing complex technical and operational challenges.
- An effective communicator, able to present to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- An expert in Fortinet SD‑WAN, SD‑LAN, SASE technologies, and traditional routing.
- Experienced in working with geographically dispersed, cross‑functional, and external partner teams.
- Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, with strong follow‑through to delivery.
- Experienced in product lifecycle management and operating within strict timelines.
- Educated to degree level in Networking, Computer Science, or a related field.
Desirable experience includes:
- Knowledge of both mobile and fixed networks.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks.
- Solution design leadership within multinational telecom environments.
- Understanding of cloud and cloud‑native concepts (AWS, GCP, containers, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of software development, DevOps practices, APIs, and API gateways.
- Exposure to next‑generation orchestration and assurance solutions enabling digitalisation.
