Job Description

Join us

At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers — we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world.

If you want to grow your career whilst finding the right balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunity to help you belong and make a real impact.

Role Summary

As a PMO & Automation Analyst, you will lead the transformation of project governance processes through automation and data-driven insights.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Finance, and our offshore VOIS teams to implement AI-driven workflows, Power Automate solutions, and interactive dashboards that streamline project financial management and reporting. Your role is to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency by replacing traditional administrative tasks with smart, automated processes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, tech-savvy PMO professional with a passion for innovation, data, and continuous improvement within a dynamic enterprise environment.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities:-

Design & Manage Automated Workflows: Develop and maintain automated processes (using tools like Power Automate and other AI/ML technologies) for key project governance activities, such as resource time tracking, approvals, and financial updates – ensuring these workflows run smoothly and minimize manual intervention.

Financial Governance & Budget Tracking: Partner with Project Managers and Finance to maintain accurate, real-time project budgets and forecasts. Use digital tools and dashboards to track spend, forecast costs, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.

Offshore (VOIS) Budget Coordination: Coordinate with offshore/VOIS teams to manage and track budgets for outsourced project components. Ensure seamless integration of offshore costs into overall project financials and that all expenses are properly approved and documented.

Dynamic Reporting & Dashboards: Create and refine interactive dashboards and management reports (e.g., in Power BI or similar tools) that give senior stakeholders clear, real-time visibility of project status, risks, and key metrics. Continuously improve these reporting outputs using feedback and new data techniques.

Advanced Analytics & Insights: Perform ad-hoc data analysis on project and portfolio data to identify trends, anomalies, or improvement opportunities. Present insights through high-quality visuals and presentations (e.g., slides, charts) to support decision-making by leadership.

Governance & Standards Ownership: Drive consistency and best practices across the project management community by developing and promoting standard templates, automated processes, and data governance standards. Ensure that project teams adhere to these standards for efficient, aligned ways of working.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Proactively identify process inefficiencies or manual work steps in project and financial management. Conceive and implement improvements – from small process tweaks to larger automation initiatives – that increase productivity and reduce errors.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training: Act as a champion for new tools and processes, coaching and supporting project teams in adopting automated solutions. Provide training or guidance to colleagues on using new dashboards and workflow tools, building a culture of data-driven decision making.

What You’ll Need

Skills & Experience:

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with (or strong aptitude to learn) automation and analytics tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, or similar workflow/BI platforms. Ability to design simple automation scripts or use AI-based tools to streamline processes.

Financial & Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles. Comfortable working with financial data and large datasets, demonstrating strong analysis and numeracy skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Project & Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with project management processes and common tools (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Project or similar PM software). Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data manipulation and PowerPoint for presentation of complex information.

Problem-Solving & Innovation: A proactive, curious mindset with proven ability to identify process gaps and implement creative technical solutions. Willingness to continuously learn and experiment with new technologies (AI, bots, data analytics) to improve ways of working.

Self-Management & Collaboration: Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities to deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, explain technical concepts in simple terms, and influence stakeholders to embrace new processes.

Desirable

PMO/Project Experience: Previous experience in a Project Management Office, IT project delivery, or digital transformation support role, especially within a large or complex organisation.

Automation Credentials: Exposure to robotic process automation (RPA), simple scripting (e.g., VBA, Python), or AI-driven applications in a business context. Any relevant certification in Microsoft Power Platform or data analytics would be an advantage.

Global/Offshore Collaboration: Experience working with offshore or remote teams and an understanding of cultural dynamics in a global organisation.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with telecommunications or technology projects and understanding of their common challenges.

What We’re Looking For:

A Tech-Enthusiastic Problem Solver: A motivated, detail-oriented individual who gets excited about leveraging technology and data to drive efficiency and improve processes.

A Collaborative Influencer: Someone who enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders (from Project Managers to senior leaders and offshore colleagues) and can influence others to adopt new tools and practices through clear communication and demonstration of value.

A Change Champion: A team player who embraces innovation and values governance, balancing consistency with continuous improvement. You are not afraid to challenge the status quo and can navigate change positively, acting as a champion for new ways of working.

A Growth Mindset: An individual keen to develop their skills in automation, data analysis, and project governance within a large, dynamic enterprise. You thrive on learning new technologies and have the adaptability to evolve with the role as the organisation continues its digital transformation.
