Job Description

Your day to day:

  • Work with PHP and Oracle DB to support and enhance existing enterprise systems.
  • Gradually dive into IBM Informix Database, with support from our experienced team—no need to be an expert on day one.
  • Handle 3rd-level troubleshooting and problem management, ensuring systems stay stable and performant.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across delivery models (Agile and Waterfall), adapting to project needs.
  • Provide input on database optimization, system improvements, and solution design.

  • Help us maintain and evolve key applications that are critical to business operations.
  • Improve performance and reliability by applying your Oracle expertise—and growing it into Informix know-how.
  • Contribute to smooth project delivery by supporting both new features and existing system maintenance.
  • Strengthen our troubleshooting capabilities and reduce resolution times.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

Must-Have:

  • Solid experience with Oracle Database development, tuning, and management.
  • PHP experience, particularly in database-driven applications.
  • A proactive attitude and curiosity to learn Informix DB with support and mentoring.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery models.
  • Comfortable collaborating with German-speaking stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Some knowledge of Java is helpful for broader system context.
  • Project management skills or experience supporting releases.
  • Strong communication skills, especially when explaining technical details clearly.
