About this role

We are seeking an experienced professional to support and drive digital operations across multi-domain and multi-vendor OSS platforms within Group Technology. The individual will manage modern OSS application environments, ensure high availability, improve automation and self-service capabilities, and enhance operational assurance for IP and transmission networks. This role blends OSS expertise, Cisco ISE administration, Agile/DevOps understanding, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, secure, customer-centric digital operations.

What you will do

•Ensure high availability and smooth functioning of in-scope OSS applications at all times.
•Enable users through automation, self-service capabilities and simplification of operational processes.
•Take end-to-end accountability for resolving application incidents, alerts, and unexpected behaviour.
•Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
•Support planned and unplanned changes across OSS systems and cloud environments, ensuring effective communication and justification.
•Collaborate with network teams to optimise and enhance application APIs and integrations with platforms such as SMARTS, Infovista, TACACS and CyberArk.
•Carry out device and network provisioning activities within the defined tools.
•Lead UAT cycles and support deployment activities including OS and application upgrades.
•Provide initial user support and training on accessing and using relevant applications.
•Contribute to planning activities including platform growth, bug fixes, licence management and release enablement.
•Maintain system health, proactively identify anomalies, and support incident, problem and change management processes.
•Manage end-to-end UAM, KPI creation, dashboards, monitoring and alerting requirements.
•Produce value add operational reports aligned with standard KPIs.
•Collaborate with procurement to source compliant and cost effective hardware solutions.
•Monitor performance, usage and warranty status of hardware and coordinate repairs or replacements.
•Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
Primary Technical Objectives:
•Install, configure and upgrade Cisco ISE, including policy creation, command sets, dictionaries and domain onboarding.
•Integrate systems with SIEM, LDAP, MFA and TACACS+ environments.
•Manage security posture through integration with ArcSight.
•Use Cisco ISE APIs to automate and streamline operational tasks.

•Perform log analysis, debugging and troubleshooting using CLI, GUI and diagnostic tools.
•Implement enhancements for TACACS/ISE and related hardware.
•Learn and support SDN controller operations.

Who you are

  • Have 7+ years of experience in Telecom OSS operations.
  • Possess hands‑on experience with Cisco ISE configuration, policy enforcement and device administration.
  • Skilled in Unix/Linux environments, with working knowledge of containerisation, coding and scripting languages such as PHP, Python, Perl, Shell and API development.
  • Understand networking protocols (SNMP, ICMP, Netconf) and architectures (WAN, SD‑WAN, MPLS); exposure to Cisco CNC or HCO is beneficial.
  • Experienced with MFA solutions such as FortiAuthenticator or RSA.
  • Flexible to work across multiple assignments and in 24x7 rotating shifts.
  • A clear communicator with a willingness to learn and undertake new technical assignments.
  • Hold professional certifications in OSS/Cisco ISE or equivalent (preferred).
  • Have proven experience in IT Telecom environments.
