About this role

We are seeking an experienced OSS Engineer to join our Network Strategy & Engineering (NSE) team in Pune. This role focuses on lifecycle management and feature enhancement of Vodafone’s Project Management tools within the DevOps environment. You will play a key role in tool integration, configuration, onboarding, and operational readiness across multiple markets, while driving migration planning, stakeholder engagement, and agile delivery enablement

What you will do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of project management tools including onboarding, configuration, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure application availability as per agreed SLAs.
  • Support migration activities including testing and stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with NSE standards and data protection policies during integration and migration.
  • Customise and configure tools for seamless integration.
  • Collaborate with vendors and development teams to implement permanent fixes and improve application performance.
  • Act as a point of contact for tool users, vendors, and internal delivery teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, migration plans, and support models.
  • Manage change requests with internal and external stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Wrike, PPM, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP, Azure), APIs, and integration frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Proven ITIL experience in incident, problem, and change management, as well as lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for large-scale applications.
  • Good knowledge of Linux systems, shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle.
  • Experience in Unix/Linux deployment and managing servers in production environments.
  • Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree; DevOps certification desirable.
