About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Intercompany Accounting Lead to oversee and optimise the end-to-end Intercompany process across multiple local markets. This role involves managing financial analyses, month-end closings, dispute resolution, and team leadership. The individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining process controls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. The role also includes direct interaction with SSC and LM teams, and requires strong SAP proficiency and accounting expertise.

What you will do

  • Prepare and analyse LM-wise reports for half-year and year-end closings.
  • Review and approve Intercompany balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Resolve mismatches and disputes between entities, ensuring accurate accounting impacts.
  • Forecast and report to senior management, recommending process efficiencies.
  • Support SSC and LM teams in accurate SAP postings and financial data integrity.
  • Lead special accounting projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document SSC and LM accounting processes and train General Ledger Specialists.
  • Participate in planning, execution, and reporting of special projects.
  • Enforce process controls and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Attend weekly and monthly calls with LM teams to discuss performance and issues.
  • Manage team performance, provide feedback, and address behavioural concerns.
  • Promote adherence to company policies and the Intercompany Policy.

Who you are

  • CA / CWA / CS (Inter/Final) with 5+ years of experience or MBA with 10+ years in accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Experienced in team management and working under tight deadlines.
  • Automotive accounting experience is a plus but not mandatory.
