About this Role
We are seeking an experienced International Legal Entity Controller to take ownership of statutory financial reporting, controls, and compliance for allocated international legal entities. This role offers the opportunity to develop an end-to-end understanding of legal entity operations, business strategies, products, and technical accounting requirements while partnering closely with Finance Operations, Enterprise Finance, Tax, Treasury, Audit, and Group Finance teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient, compliant, and accurate financial reporting whilst supporting finance transformation initiatives.
What you’ll do
- Take ownership of statutory financial reporting, controls, and compliance for assigned international legal entities.
- Partner with financial and operational teams to provide meaningful financial analysis across revenues, cost of sales, balance sheet, and other key performance areas.
- Review monthly legal entity results and prepare management accounts to ensure all income statement and balance sheet movements are understood and appropriately evidenced.
- Produce statutory accounts and supporting working papers with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Support and execute change initiatives that align legal entities with the Vodafone Finance Operating Model.
- Configure ONESOURCE templates, perform data mapping activities, and collaborate with local experts for validation and approval.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned entities, coordinating the resolution of complex financial and operational issues across teams.
- Drive standardisation and simplification of statutory accounting and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Finance Operations, Enterprise Business, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, External Audit, and Group Finance stakeholders.
Who you are
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- More than 4 years of post-qualification experience within statutory reporting, financial control, or legal entity accounting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Local GAAP accounting requirements.
- Experience preparing Local GAAP statutory financial statements and supporting audits.
- Proven experience within statutory reporting environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret accounting standards and apply technical accounting guidance effectively.
- Experience supporting transformation and change initiatives.
- Experience in a shared services environment would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of ONESOURCE is beneficial.
- Demonstrates solution-focused thinking, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
