About this Role
We are seeking a Lean Portfolio Specialist to support the alignment of delivery with strategic objectives and optimise the flow of value across portfolios. This role involves working closely with the Portfolio Management team to establish portfolio governance, balance funding allocation, and apply dynamic forecasting and prioritisation to accelerate time-to-market. You will act as the subject matter expert for Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), ensuring best practices are implemented and maintained across governance processes, ceremonies, tooling, and portfolio data.
What you will do
- Define and maintain JIRA portfolio structures based on portfolio roadmaps.
- Act as the LPM SME, coaching and training stakeholders on lean portfolio management methodology and JIRA usage.
- Ensure governance artefacts, RAIDs, and key data points are accurate and complete across the portfolio flow.
- Facilitate portfolio management events such as Portfolio Sync, PI Planning, Demand Reviews, and Scrum of Scrums.
- Conduct periodic assessments of delivery KPIs (velocity and efficiency) using PowerBI and JIRA.
- Drive continuous improvement in methodologies and tools, sharing best practices.
- Serve as the delegated authority for LPM when required.
Who you are
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence across multiple seniorities and teams in a matrix organisation.
- Skilled in constructive challenge and coaching.
- Deep understanding of the SAFe framework and experience in Agile portfolio management.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple work streams and priorities independently.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and recommend mitigations.
- Confident in presenting to senior management.
Technical/Professional Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
- Proficiency in MS PowerBI for data visualisation and reporting.
- Expertise in Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
- Certifications such as SAFe, PMP, MSP, or Prince2.
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
