About this Role

  • As an IP LAN Design Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating and testing network systems and software functions within the Fixed and Mobile Data Communication domain. This includes hardware and software systems such as switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers within Data Centre environments. You will ensure seamless integration of new software versions with existing systems, create detailed design specifications, and manage projects that enhance service quality and user experience. Your role also involves preparing comprehensive documentation for operational teams to support change management processes.

Who are you

  • You are a collaborative and detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in telecoms and IT. You possess deep knowledge of TCP/IP technologies and protocols, and you are comfortable working in virtual teams and with multinational clients. You are passionate about improving network systems and mentoring others through hands-on guidance.

What you will do

  • Develop hardware and software specifications for network systems based on client requirements.
  • Define and manage hardware and software requests for Fixed and Mobile Data Communication systems.
  • Conduct testing and acceptance of new software and hardware components.
  • Implement and integrate new technologies to expand network capabilities.
  • Coordinate complex network-related projects.
  • Support and mentor new engineers to enhance their technical competencies.

What skills you need

  • Strong understanding of network systems in Fixed and Mobile Data Communication.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware/software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and optimisation.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP technologies and protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual and multicultural teams.
  • Engineering degree in telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
  • General technical knowledge in telecoms and IT.
  • Understanding of system interconnections across network and other domains.
  • Experience managing project budgets, potentially exceeding €1M.
