About this Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our international team at VOIS Romania Technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of strategic tools used across Vodafone Group and local markets. This role focuses on automating the lifecycle of SDWAN products, including provisioning, inventory and alarm management, and API standardisation. The solutions developed will integrate databases, business logic, and other systems, aligning with Vodafone’s software engineering strategy.

What you’ll do

  • Develop well-structured, maintainable code in line with company standards
  • Document system enhancements and changes clearly
  • Collaborate effectively within a distributed team environment
  • Provide input on impact analysis across systems
  • Coordinate development and delivery processes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Deliver accurate time and effort estimates for new features
  • Mentor and support less experienced colleagues to foster team growth

Who you are

  • Proven experience in software development using Python
  • Strong understanding of APIs (TM Forum), MEF data models, and testing methodologies
  • Skilled in data processing and manipulation
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with SDWAN automation tools (e.g. VeloCloud, Meraki, Fortinet, Mist)
  • Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Neo4j
  • Proficient in version control systems (Git)
  • Agile methodology experience (Scrum preferred; SAFe is a plus)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
