Job Description

Join Us

At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, your part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

Joining Vodafone IoT’s team means being part of a growing, purpose-driven organisation at the forefront of innovation. Our teams are made up of curious minds, problem-solvers, and forward-thinkers across the world who thrive in a collaborative, high-performing, inclusive environment.

What you’ll do

Role purpose:

To act as a senior process and productivity authority within the 6-month Vodafone IoT Productivity programme, leading deep dive reviews of functional productivity plans, priority end-to-end, cross functional processes to identify and deliver measurable productivity improvements.
The role will simplify how work gets done across Vodafone IoT by creating a clear framework for process improvement and removing barriers to execution, reducing handoffs, leveraging automation and AI, and embedding repeatable productivity disciplines that can be scaled beyond the pilot.

This role will bring a strong process and simplicity perspective to the team, facilitating the integration of digital tools and modern workflows, driving simplification efforts, and be tenacious in delivering operational efficiency and driving increased productivity.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

• Lead end-to-end process diagnostics across 2–3 priority, cross functional IoT value streams (e.g. customer onboarding, order-to-cash, incident resolution, commercial deal flow).
• Apply structured productivity and process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping) to identify bottlenecks, duplication, rework and nonvalue adding activity.
• Quantify productivity opportunities using agreed IoT productivity measures (e.g. time saved, cost-to-serve reduction, handoff reduction, automation potential).
• Design and implement practical, test and learn improvements in partnership with business owners (process simplification, RACI and role clarity, automation, AI enablement).
• Act as a subject matter expert on process excellence, coaching leaders and teams on productivity thinking and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with Technology, Finance, HR, Sales and Operations to ensure solutions are scalable, measurable and sustainable.
• Track benefits realisation and provide clear, executive ready updates to the IoT Leadership Team.
• Produce repeatable playbooks, standards and artefacts to enable wider rollout beyond the 6-month programme

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Proven experience leading cross functional process improvement in complex, matrixed organisations.
• Strong background in process improvement, productivity, operational excellence or transformation roles (technology, telecoms, digital or similar environments preferred).
• Demonstrable experience translating analysis into real business outcomes and executing on plans, not just recommendations.
• Clear experience in delivering process mapping, statistical analysis and in supporting continuous improvement and digital transformation
• Highly collaborative; able to influence without authority across senior stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, delivery focused and comfortable working at pace in a pilot environment.
• Role model of Vodafone behaviours: customer obsessed, innovation hungry, speed, simplicity and trust.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma / process excellence tools and techniques.
• Strong analytical capability – able to build clear productivity cases using data and insight.
• Experience leveraging automation and AI to improve productivity and simplify work.
• Executive level communication skills; able to distil complex process issues into clear, actionable narratives.
