What you’ll do

Business Partnering
o Acts as the HR Business Partner of Corporate Functions; Finance, External Affairs, Legal & Corporate Security, HR and Data&AI functions.
o As a member of the Corporate Functions leadership teams, provides professional guidance to leadership team members and acts as a main contact for all HR related issues.
o Responsible for building influential and mutually respectful relationships within leadership teams. Working with leadership teams to develop business articulation and co-ownership of Employee Engagement Plans.
o Optimizing and continually developing relationships with HR process owners in order to provide pro-active HR support to the business.
o Providing feedback and guidance to HR process owners for policy and practice, implementation and communication

Vodafone People Strategy Planning
o Developing annual Employee Engagement plans for Corporate Functions departments that reflect the delivery of the Vodafone People Strategy and the longer term requirements
o Managing large scale project and implementation plans that ensure the delivery of Employee Engagement Plans.
o Managing functional and cross-functional project teams to ensure targets and milestones are delivered as per the plan.
o Using Employee Engagement KPIs to identify issues that require development & resolution.

Organizational Capability
o Influencing the commercial leadership teams to diagnose, plan and implement OE activities providing the tools and knowledge to enable this to happen.
o Taking responsibility for identifying organizational efficiencies across all areas of the BU, identifying areas of duplication and synergy.
o Pro-actively using the outputs of the Succession Plans & Development activities to provide input into the plans for departmental development and talent management
o Continuing to enhance the leadership capability of the leadership team, providing coaching and development in skills, knowledge & competence regarding all issues relating to organizational capability.
o Contributing to the strategic direction of the HR Function by leading and managing cross-functional project work and policy development.
o Developing a strategic workforce plan for corporate functions in line with its people strategy.
o FTE budget planning

Team Leadership:
o Developing direction and objectives for HR sub-team corporate functions, in line with its Employee Experience Strategy & sub Business Plans
o Setting clear objectives for teams and individuals, motivating teams to meet standards of performance and targets on an ongoing basis. Monitoring objectives on an ongoing basis to ensure team objectives are achieved.
o Developing plans to continually improve the capability of the Corporate HR team, attracting and developing talent on an ongoing basis.
o Responsible for achievement of business KPIs (headcount, OPEX, Employee Engagement etc.)

Who you are

o Detailed knowledge of sector, able to co-ordinate HR specialist input from a large number of sources into a large scale business operation.
o Four years university degree from a reputable university
o Being able to discuss the business at leadership level as well as detailed understanding of functional area
o Experience in developing organizational capability through project leadership at a strategic level
o Being able to coach and develop at a leadership level and facilitate senior team development
o Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels
