About this Role

We are seeking a GCP Solution Architect to take full ownership of Google Cloud solutions across the Data & Analytics ecosystem. The individual will define solution architectures, guide engineering teams, and ensure that cloud implementations align with enterprise security, scalability, governance, and cost‑efficiency standards. This hybrid Bucharest‑based role requires close collaboration with technical, security, platform, and FinOps stakeholders to shape how GCP is adopted across the organisation.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical direction of GCP‑based solutions.
• Define, document, and enforce cloud patterns, standards, and best practices.
• Act as the technical authority for architectural and design decisions related to GCP.
• Ensure cloud solutions comply with enterprise security, privacy, and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and FinOps teams to ensure cohesion across technical deliveries.
• Review technical designs and provide architectural governance and guidance.
• Mentor delivery teams to build capability and ensure architectural alignment.

Who you are

• Experienced GCP Cloud or Solution Architect with strong hands‑on background.
• Solid understanding of core GCP services, IAM, networking, and cloud security practices.
• Skilled in designing scalable, production‑grade cloud architectures.
• Able to translate business requirements into resilient technical solutions.
• Strong communicator with effective stakeholder management abilities.
• Advantageous if you bring experience with:
  • Data and analytics platforms (BigQuery, Looker)
  • DevOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CI/CD)
  • FinOps or cloud cost optimisation
  • GCP certifications
  • TOGAF
