Role Purpose

• To effectively provide for planning and architectural conformance with the strategic cloudification goals.
• To support technically the formulation of Networks Infrastructure budget in alignment to strategic goals.
• To support technically the testing of compliance of vendors Network Functions with strategy.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide architecture, security, and technical guidance to drive automation and operational excellence.
• Lead approved key infrastructure projects for implementation.
• Mentor and provide high level support to junior engineers.
• Oversee good integration between Operations and Engineering.
• Create Knowledge Base entries.

Competencies

• Strong knowledge in compute, storage and networking technologies and protocols.
• Strong knowledge of OpenStack platforms
• Strong knowledge in mobile network technologies and protocols
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
• Ability to think outside of the norm and challenge the status quo by providing innovative alternatives.
• Strong analytical and problem solving and logical thinking skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc Engineering (Electrical /Telecommunication/Computer Systems)
