Role Purpose
- To effectively provide for planning and architectural conformance with the strategic cloudification goals.
- To support technically the formulation of Networks Infrastructure budget in alignment to strategic goals.
- To support technically the testing of compliance of vendors Network Functions with strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide architecture, security, and technical guidance to drive automation and operational excellence.
- Lead approved key infrastructure projects for implementation.
- Mentor and provide high level support to junior engineers.
- Oversee good integration between Operations and Engineering.
- Create Knowledge Base entries.
Competencies
- Strong knowledge in compute, storage and networking technologies and protocols.
- Strong knowledge of OpenStack platforms
- Strong knowledge in mobile network technologies and protocols
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to think outside of the norm and challenge the status quo by providing innovative alternatives.
- Strong analytical and problem solving and logical thinking skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc Engineering (Electrical /Telecommunication/Computer Systems)
