Job Description

Role Purpose:

Within Platform Engineering, Platform AI and Innovation team is responsible to deliver innovative designs and strategy of new digital solutions. We rely in our expertise to design innovative products and deliver solution strategy for the enabling platform we manage. We are also responsible for vendor selection and management, identifying partners who can speed up the delivery of our digital strategy.
Discussing with Product team and customers, the Design and Innovation Expert need to translate requirements into design specifications, defining strategy for the enabling platforms (selecting the appropriate vendor when needed), to enable the delivery of innovative products

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Set strategy blueprint for our digital solutions and platforms, to be followed by both internal developers and vendors
• Lead best practice and innovation platform for own solutions
• Design or manage vendor selection and vendor management for own products / platforms
• Continuously analyse data to pin new opportunities and maximize platform products’ value
• Use design thinking approach to deliver new solution designs and new proof of concept projects to evolve our solution portfolio

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Deep data analysis skills; able to work with data models and be able to mine large and complex data sets.
• Knowledge on Google cloud platform or data science and new GenAI solutions, to define evolution strategy for digital solutions and platforms
• Ability to understand business requirements, interpret data, and develop & propose improvement strategies based on our gaps.
• Great multi-national, multi-cultural leadership skills to align large team of technical resources around a common strategy and Design
• Knowledge of innovation methodologies, including design thinking, lean start-up, and agile development

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Degree in telecommunications Engineering or similar and minimum 5 years’ experience in network Engineering function
• Expertise with various industry applicable data sources and digital solutions
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Strong analytical skills to be able to work with large amount of data and conflicting insights, modern technologies, and interdependencies.
• Nice to have: Data Science or Data Engineering knowledge
• Nice to have: Agile foundations
