Job Description

Role Purpose:

Manage customer demands and guide requestor towards a technical solution and platform (on-prem & cloud) in VCI. This includes:

  • Decision on best fitting technology platform
  • Drive follow up discussions where necessary
  • Support High Level Cost indication
  • Creation of solution design
  • Logical Design & GIANT Support
  • Transfer into Delivery (Project or Standard Service)
  • Issue Consultancy Forum Meetings
  • Working with VCI teams during project development stages to ensure appropriate delivery solution design support and advice is available to projects during their formative stages.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

1. Act as technical Pre-Sales Team for BRMs:

  • Responsible for ensuring Technical and Financial advisory (i.e. Feasibility Analysis) to BRM in their Demand assessment, scoping and classification with Local Markets

2. Assess, scope and design (Low-Level Design) target solutions in strict collaboration with 3 delivery HUBs:

  • Responsible for GF & LM E2E Solution Design, assess (technical) request categorization & GIANT support.

3. Provide Technical implementation support along project/ program life cycle:

  • Collect and translate Infrastructure request requirement into a comprehensive solution design.
  • Ensure alignment with Programme & Project Managers to make sure technical resources can build and implement the designed solutions on time and with respect to design quality standards and practices
  • Ensure alignment with Tech Pillars to make sure simple demands will be handled by them E2E.

4. Consultancy-Interface to technical pillars, Customers & Product Management

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Pre-Sales:

• Expert knowledge of modern IT technologies: on-premise and/or in Public / Private Cloud within VCI Product Portfolio

o DRCC

o OCI

o CI

o VMWare

o Azure

o AWS

o GCP

o (future technologies tbd)

• Advance knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, Telephony, Storage & Backup, Configuration and administration of Firewalls, switches, routers

• Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements

Design & Delivery:

• Strong IT delivery management background with specific experience in infrastructure implementation

• Low level infrastructure design practices, standards and governance & best practices within data security

• Experience designing and supporting complex network solutions in a large organization

Communication & Way of Working

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with customers and internal teams to deliver results

• International experience and background in a complex business environment essential as well as ability to work across an international and distributed team

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least two Infrastructure solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development

• Qualifications on working within Agile & Waterfall project methodologies
