What you’ll do

Ensure Vodafone Digital Services are Up & Running end-to-end with a DevOps & automation mindset, and provide DevOps operational support for the PEGA application across all environments.

• Responsible & service owner for Digital App&Web channels products and services
• Responsible for Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities for PEGA, including planning, coordination, and execution of BCM strategies and exercises.
• Responsible for all 7/24 Level 2 Operations in a proactive manner (Deployments, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, SLA/OLA Management, Service Capacity Management, Service Network Management, Technical Contract Management, Service OPEX Management, Service Incident Management, Service Problem Management, etc.) for corresponding products and services
• To ensure the service delivery is meeting the business and operational standards
• To ensure appropriate measurement and reporting of service performance, usage and availability is in place in order to analyse the trends to identify and prioritize improvements
• Implementing correct measurement of capacity demands
• Implementing DevOps tools and life cycle processes on responsible services.
• Implementing Operational automation processes (test, deployment, alarm).
• Working in multiple Agile Squad teams and delivering outputs per each team
• Maintaining a close relationship with the respective departments (marketing, project office, infrastructure, solution) to be aware of any changes to or additions to the current scope of the services
• Leading micro groups and projects

Who you are

• 2–3 years of hands on experience working with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, including basic administration and operational support activities.
• Experience supporting or working with PEGA platforms (MCCM / Pega products) in an application or operations support context.
• Practical experience with Java and .NET based applications, including application monitoring, deployment, and operational support.
• Experience working with application servers such as Apache Tomcat, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting; familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL environments for operational and support purposes.
• Hands on exposure to DevOps and Agile methodologies, with experience working in Agile teams and sprint based delivery models.
• Experience participating in or supporting CI/CD pipeline implementations using commonly adopted DevOps tools.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture and related Technologies(Openshift), with exposure to containerized or distributed systems considered a plus.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases; experience with Cassandra is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross functional and Agile teams.
• Ability to work under tight timelines in a dynamic and fast paced environment, while maintaining attention to operational quality.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and decision making skills, with the ability to balance technical and business priorities.
• Comfortable working in an international, multicultural corporate environment.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken), enabling effective communication in a global working environment.
