About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong expertise in AWS infrastructure, PL/SQL development, and RDS management. The individual will be responsible for optimising database performance, ensuring high availability, and implementing automation for operational efficiency in a cloud-based environment.

What you will do

  • 5-7years of experience as Oracle/ Application DBA
  • Manage and optimise Oracle databases within AWS infrastructure, including RDS.
  • Perform advanced SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimisation.
  • Utilise AWR, ASH, SQL Profiles, and SQL Baselines for troubleshooting and performance improvement.
  • Optimise memory, CPU, and storage configurations for Exadata, Oracle RAC, and cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for debugging and feature enhancements.
  • Implement automation scripts using Shell, Ansible, and Python for operational tasks.
  • Monitor databases using OEM Cloud Control and integrate with tools like Datadog and Grafana.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
  • Work with application development tools such as GIT and Visual Studio for source control.

Who you are

  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience in PL/SQL development and debugging.
  • Familiarity with AWS RDS and cloud database management.
  • Understanding of Linux (RedHat/Oracle), storage basics, and networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Ansible, Python) for automation.
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana) and database alerting systems.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Experience with version control systems and application development environments.
