Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience:

Primary Skills: Teradata SQL & ETL, Linux/Unix - Shell Scripting

Preferred Skills: git or similar versioning tools, Control-M or similar scheduling tools, GCP (BiqQuery, DataForm, DataProc)

Location: Pune

Working Mode: Hybrid

Experience: 5 to 9 years’

Essential:

  • Strong SQL experience - Advanced level of SQL scripting
  • Strong Data Warehouse development experience in Cloud Native Technologies (GCP preferred)
  • Excellent data interpretation skills
  • Good knowledge of data warehouse and business intelligence, good understanding of a wide range of data manipulation and analysis techniques
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate information technology concepts to non-technology personnel and should be able to interact with customer team and share ideas.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, attitude to plan and organize work to deliver as agreed.
  • Hands on experience in working with large datasets.
  • Able to manage different stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Exceptional data manipulation and analysis techniques; comfortable using very large (>10’s millions of rows) datasets, containing both structured and unstructured data.
  • Designing and implementing changes to the existing data model
  • Develop & maintain relational staging areas of Application Layer
  • Supporting operations team on data quality, data consistency issues and essential business critical processes
  • Drive system optimization and simplification
  • Exceptional data manipulation and analysis techniques; comfortable using very large (>10’s millions of rows) datasets, containing both structured and unstructured data.
  • Designing and implementing changes to the existing data model
  • Develop & maintain relational staging areas of Application Layer
  • Supporting operations team on data quality, data consistency issues and essential business critical processes

Role Purpose:

  • Working for D&A requires a good understanding of the business context and the business requirements.
  • Focus of the role is development and maintenance of Application Layer and direct interface to our D&A customers in close collaboration with multidisciplinary team in different departments.
  • Major focus is backend development for this layer, which means, responsible for the development of required data structures, data marts, transformation of the data and their transfer into regular service operation.
  • The role could be responsible for the development of ETLs from source systems into the Data Warehouse, as well as for creating a consistent data base.
  • It helps to stabilise, specify unclear and fast changing business requirements in an agile and encapsulated environment.
  • Provide a delightful and “easy to work” experience to the business stakeholders while setting clear expectations.
