Role Purpose

To be responsible for the infrastructure design, capacity planning, deployment, configuration, performance monitoring, security, and lifecycle management of Vodafone’s Cloud Native platforms — with a primary focus on Red Hat OpenShift and containerized workloads. The role ensures high availability, scalability, and reliability of the underlying infrastructure supporting DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. In addition, the role leads the development and implementation of the infrastructure strategy and roadmaps that enable Vodafone’s digital transformation and platform modernization initiatives.

Role Profile

  • Mentor and guide junior team members to foster deep technical expertise and high-quality delivery in cloud-native and DevOps domains
  • Lead the design, deployment, and scaling of OpenShift infrastructure and DevOps platforms to meet evolving business and application demands
  • Oversee the health, performance, and availability of cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring end-to-end monitoring, automation, and proactive issue resolution
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to align platform strategy, negotiate licensing/support, and ensure optimal return on investment
  • Enforce and report on compliance with IT Security, Privacy, and Confidentiality policies across all DevOps and infrastructure-related activities, especially for containerized and cloud-hosted workloads

Qualification and Requirements

  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Dedication, sense of ownership, and ability to work within a team.
  • Innovative & creative thinking for new solutions, technologies and data protection.
  • The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines across the functional groups.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of Systems working experience
  • Technical certificates in OpenShift/DevOps tools
  • Excellent knowledge of OpenShift/DevOps tools
