About this role

Location: Paddington OR Newbury

We are seeking a Cloud Capacity Infrastructure Architect to design and implement strategies for on-premises and multi-cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. This role involves leading the end-to-end capacity planning lifecycle, including forecasting, modelling, and optimisation of compute, storage, and network resources. Acting as a strategic advisor, you will collaborate with FinOps, DevOps, and Security teams to deliver data-driven, financially sound, and compliant solutions. You will also drive innovation through automation, AI-driven insights, and emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure resilience and customer experience.

What you will do

  • Design scalable multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructures.
  • Lead capacity planning for compute, storage, and network across cloud and on-premises deployments.
  • Forecast and size resources based on usage data and business growth projections.
  • Optimise resource consumption and costs using advanced analytics and automation.
  • Collaborate with FinOps, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure governance and compliance.

Who you are

  • Over 10 years’ experience in cloud infrastructure and/or IT capacity planning.
  • Proven expertise in multi-cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning, forecasting models, and enterprise architecture.
  • Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, or FinOps Practitioner.
  • Skilled in data analysis and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
