About this Role

We are seeking a BTI Technical Engineering Lead to manage a team of skilled technical engineers delivering network solutions for international customers and local markets. This role involves overseeing remote configuration and implementation of customer solutions across Vodafone networks, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to SLAs. The individual will lead large SD-WAN projects, manage escalations, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Prior experience in telecom network deployment and expertise in IP/MPLS, Internet, and SD-WAN provisioning is essential.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage the BTI Technical Engineering team to deliver high-quality network solutions.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and resource planning for new technologies.
  • Support large SD-WAN-based customer projects and provisioning activities for SDN domains.
  • Handle customer escalations and implement preventive measures based on lessons learned.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with network standards, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex network issues.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and guidelines.

Who you are

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in fixed-line network provisioning, including build, activation, testing, migration, and troubleshooting (IP/MPLS, Dedicated Internet Access, Cloud Connect).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Alcatel/Nokia, and Juniper network device configurations, plus knowledge of Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst, VMware, Fortinet SD-WAN, and Cisco/Fortinet SASE.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks or scripting for network provisioning and process improvement tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop technical teams, optimise processes, and meet SLAs/KPIs.
  • Proven capability in escalation management, stakeholder engagement, and delivering exceptional customer experience.
  • Graduate in Engineering discipline with strong communication skills in English.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, and Fortinet NSE.
