Job Description

As a Digital Transformation Product Owner in Network Expansion at Virgin Media O2, you will be responsible for ensuring the translation of our Digital product vision into features/epics and consumable user stories for the programme team, ensuring they contribute to the overall Network Expansion value stream goals!

The Product Owner will work closely with Value Stream leads to identify areas of need based on process led reviews and rework formulating, and then prioritising business and technical requirements or solutions that are ready for development to enable iterative and early value delivery.

The Product Owner will manage the product backlog in-line with our Digital programme vision, prioritising the development backlog following a process led, value-driven approach.

You'll engage and build strong relationships across different types of business units, be accountable for sharing the Digital product vision with senior leaders and operational teams as well as providing direction to the programme team of Process Consultants, Business Analysts, Developers and Readiness Experts. All this activity will enable the delivery of a low code digital ready suite of applications and automation opportunities following an agile development approach to support Network Expansion’s overall ambitions.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • A proven track record working within a Product Owner role in medium/large scale capital programmes, with experience of a Digital first approach to process management and automation
  • Significant knowledge and experience of product management concepts, prioritisation techniques and design methodology within agile delivery environment
  • Experience managing a value stream backlog to support development of a low code, config first, integrated datacentric cloud-based environment
  • Knowledge of User Interface/Experience design to support a digital first strategy
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology and approach to development
