Job Description
Working as the Head of Experimentation & Optimisation, you will be responsible for driving forward the Experimentation, Personalisation and Optimisation teams and strategy within the Fixed eCommerce Acquisition Team, creating a class-leading web/app customer experience using data and insight to inform decision making and to help prioritise and manage delivery of key commercial initiatives. You will ensure the team is data driven and pro-actively search for improvement opportunities and innovation within the Digital Web & App Acquisition Sales journey of VMO2 websites and apps while validation the effectiveness of planned business changes and sizing their impact towards the overall experience. The must haves In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- 5 years+ leading high performing eCommerce squads
- Solid hands-on experience with Optimizely, GA360/GA4, Angular and Experimentation platforms
- Experience of building teams and managing within an Agile environment
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across different regions and influence senior business partners for data-driven decision making
- Effective leadership skills – able to engage, motivate and develop staff at all levels. Above all, able to show capability of building a team of superstars who consistently smash their goals
- Experience working in a large company, managing a team and global stakeholders in matrix organisation
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across different regions and influence senior business partners for data-driven decision making.
The other stuff we are looking for
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
- Act as the eCommerce business lead for VMO2 web & app acquisition sales order conversion rate optimisation (CRO), personalisation and experimentation
- Act as the eCommerce CRO and Experimentation Lead responsible for end2end web & app Optimisation and coordination between experimentation, Commercial, Feature, Trading Ops and Content Squads.
- Create and deliver a robust strategy covering the full spec of the digital (web & app) journey (Content, Trading, Feature, both Organic and Paid Traffic, and Personalisation).
- Inspire, motivate and develop all optimisation squads to achieve outstanding performance
- Create and manage the experimentation web/app development and implementation of key strategic and tactical business initiatives with the wider Fixed eCommerce Acquistion team.
- Develop a roadmap for the CRO and Experimentation evolution and update of digital web & app acquisition channels
- Oversee co-ordination with the wider eCommerce structure, including content & ops and capability squads to ensure a clear end-to-end journey.
- Ensure that roadmaps, plans and team OKRs are documented and shared with relevant teams, so cross dependencies and blockers are identified and solved before delivering against key priorities.
- Share results on key test performance with Digital Sales and Commercial Teams
- Advise and support operational improvements; to ensure safe, flexible but ultimately fast speed to market changes.
