Please note that this role is a 12 month fixed term contract

As one of our Social Media Content Creators you will be part of a team that creates, and executes social media content and campaigns for Virgin Media O2.

You’ll help build the profile of both the O2 and Virgin Media brands with audiences by creating innovative, authentic, platform first content that aligns to our overall social media strategy and content pillars.

You’ll have the creativity and passion to be able to turn your hand to creating content from scratch, sometimes in real time to share with our audiences. TikTok, Reels & Stories will all come naturally to you, you’ll be a wiz at in-app functionalities and editing in platform to deliver authentic social first content.

A social native, you should have your fingers on the pulse of the latest platform trends and use your knowledge and creativity to deliver content that resonates with our audiences.

To bring our social plans to life you’ll be working with key internal stakeholders including sponsorship, brand, campaigns, PR, sustainability, and customer care teams. Externally you’ll be comfortable working with agencies, partners, content creators and Influencers to create and amplify our content.

And of course, you’ll understand how to measure the success of everything you create and evaluate against KPIs, ensuring that learnings are built into future content and campaigns to help us constantly evolve and grow.

The must haves

  • Relevant experience working in social media/content production– for a medium to larged sized brand. Having planned and delivered content and campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Strong creative skills with the ability to ideate and capture your own content pieces on mobile or DSLR
  • Skilled in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, Final Cut etc.). Well versed in delivering platform-specific formats.
  • A real passion for social and content that means you’re fully up-to-speed with the latest trends and platform developments
  • Experience working with partners, agencies, content creators and influencers to plan and create content

The other stuff we are looking for

  • Strong stakeholder management experience – able to influence across a matrix organisation
  • Excellent written skills and a strong understanding of the English language and grammar
  • Strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects at once
