
Product Technologist Support - Food

We're looking for a Product Technologist Support to join the team and play a key role in bringing exciting new pet food products to market while ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical career within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to product development, supplier management, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
The role offers hybrid working (three office days per week) from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Supporting the delivery of new product development projects, ensuring technical activities are completed to critical path timelines
- Creating and maintaining product specifications, technical documentation and pack copy
- Reviewing artwork and product information to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Supporting product quality reviews against agreed standards and specifications
- Managing technical records, product samples and documentation to maintain accuracy and traceability
- Working closely with suppliers to arrange product samples and support palatability testing
- Assisting with customer complaint investigations and technical queries
- Building strong relationships with internal teams including Technical, Quality, Packaging, Supply and NPD
- Supporting supplier visits, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Keeping up to date with pet food legislation, industry standards and technical best practice
About You
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
- A proactive approach and genuine eagerness to learn and develop
- Previous experience within a food, feed, quality, compliance or technical environment would be advantageous
- An understanding of food safety, quality systems or HACCP principles is desirable
- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Animal Nutrition or a related discipline would be beneficial, but is not essential
