Job Description

Client Care Assistant (Saturday Role)

Altrincham | £13.00 per hour | 5 hours every Saturday

Looking to start a career in veterinary practice?

We are looking for a Client Care Assistant to join our team every Saturday at our modern small animal practice in Altrincham.

This is an ideal entry role for someone with strong customer service skills who is interested in working within a veterinary environment.

You will work alongside an experienced receptionist and wider clinical team, with support and guidance as you learn the role.

The role

This is a front-of-house role helping the practice run smoothly on Saturdays.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Greeting clients and supporting front desk duties
  • Answering phones and helping manage appointments
  • Supporting the reception and clinical teams
  • Maintaining organisation and cleanliness within client-facing areas
  • General administrative and practice support tasks

This role will suit someone who enjoys working with people, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in
providing a positive client experience.

The practice

  • Recently extended, modern site
  • 5 consult rooms and 2 theatres
  • Supportive reception and clinical teams
  • Busy first opinion small animal practice
  • Strong focus on teamwork and client care

Additional hours

There will also be opportunities to work additional shifts covering holidays and team absence.

This role could suit:

  • someone looking for their first role in veterinary practice
  • someone interested in veterinary nursing or animal care in the future
  • or someone wanting a long-term support role within practice

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Friendly, calm and professional manner
  • Reliable and organised
  • Comfortable speaking with clients face to face and on the phone
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Willingness to learn veterinary practice systems and processes

You do not need previous veterinary experience. Attitude, communication skills, and reliability matter most.

The package

  • £13.00 per hour
  • 5 hours every Saturday
  • Opportunity for additional hours covering holidays and team absence
  • Staff discount
  • Supportive team environment
  • Entry-level opportunity within veterinary practice
