What you’ll be doing...

We have an immediate need for a Senior DevOps Engineer.

The successful candidate will be working in a hybrid model from our Florence office, in an expanding R&D team, focused on significant platform growth and architectural evolution, working directly with cross functional development teams in design solutions / development of best practices for our award winning SAAS offering, Reveal.

Key responsibilities

• Pro-actively work with the team to implement a reliable, efficient and scalable CI/CD pipeline, ensuring our products and services seamlessly move across all test and production environments.

• Develop and maintain reusable automation scripts and components with a variety of build and deployment automation tools, including but not limited to: git implementations (e.g. Bitbucket, GitLab), build runners (e.g. Bamboo), deployment automation (e.g. Octopus) and AWS IaC (infrastructure as a code) scripts.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

• Excellent knowledge of OOP, software design and web architectures.

• Experience in software engineering, release engineering or configuration management.

• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery in agile environments

• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

• Strong knowledge of versioning tools (e.g. GIT)

• Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker).

• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. AWS).

• Familiar with Microsoft and Unix/Linux environments.

• Willingness to join a fast-paced team, working in a CI/CD environment following agile methodologies (Kanban).

• Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation.

• Fluency in English.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Hands-on experience in deploying distributed systems in AWS

• Experience in developing distributed services and RESTful APIs (C#/.NET preferred).

• Experience in administering and using Octopus Deploy or any other similar application delivery pipeline

• Good verbal and written communication skills working within a distributed development team
