What you’ll be doing...

The application packaging engineer will be creating and maintaining automated installations using packaging tools. The output of the packaging engineer is standard Executable (EXE) and Microsoft Installer (MSI) files compatible with the Windows operating system. The EXE and MSI files are subsequently tested and deployed to the enterprise desktops and laptops.

• Create and support application installation packages for all Windows ,MAC Operating Systems Using Marimba application Packager, , WS1, Composer and Smart Packaging Studio.

• Create Java, VB, Powershell scripts and adding it to the package

• Troubleshoot Application Installation Window and Mac Operating systems

• Verify Marimba logs, WS! Logs, Eventlogs, for any issues related to Application installation

• Should Track end to end process from creating Request,Publish package in AYS

• Overview Marimba/WS1 Software distribution and work on any fallouts

• Create and Maintain Virtual machines that is used for Packaging

Where you'll be working...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Five or more years of relevant WS1 Packaging work experience with Windows series of OS and Package development using marimba/WS1 packager and SCCM installed shield.

• Operating System : Windows 11 ,Mac iSierra, Mojave

• Tools: Marimba Application Packager, Smart Packaging Studio,Admin Studio, SCCM

• Scripting : Java, VB, Bash, Powershell VB Scripting

• Infrastructure Tool : Marimba, SCCM . Workspace one

• Build desktop packages for electronic distribution

• Investigate logic to automate package installation

• Review existing package build logic and update the code

• Is expected to develop complex channels

• Coordinate the collection of application packaging and testing requirements

• Coordinate with requestors on revisions and updates to existing packages.

• Validating new and existing packages/applications

• MSI and Windows Installer Technology

• Packaging, sequencing and deployment using Marimba/WS1& SCCM.

• Java ,Visual Basic,powershell Scripting for use in custom actions

• Must understand and have exp : Windows Command Shell Script, VBScript, or Powershell

• Experience with remote access tools, including RDP, Netmeeting and Windows Desktop Sharing.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Distribution knowledge in WS1 and Marimba

• Knowledge in mobility to manage applications deployment

• Knowledgeable working with VMWare.

• Knowledge of Windows security components and permission.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Ability to work well under pressure within a team and also as an individual

• Conscientious and self-motivated

• Have a customer focused, service orientated approach

• Ability to communicate and interact well at all levels
