What you’ll be doing…

We're excited to announce an incredible opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to join Verizon as a Global Procurement Agent. As our Global Procurement Agent, you will support Verizon’s engineering teams, sales teams as well as Inventory planners. This opportunity provides for an attractive salary, great benefits, annual bonus programs, tuition assistance and opportunity for career advancement. Procurement agents will be responsible for end-to-end Purchase order management for all lines of business. You will be a change agent in Procurements Digital Transformation Journey.

• Reviewing Purchase order approvals for contract compliance and Order accuracy.

• Approving or rejecting orders based on review findings.

• Managing any Purchase requisition to Purchase order fallout and error resolution.

• Ensuring Purchase Order dispatch to suppliers.

• Ensuring timely Purchase Order closure.

• Working with Verizon internal customers to support their procurement needs.

• Maintaining 100% Sarbanes Oxley and internal audit compliance.

• Supporting any Purchase Order related back-office activities.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

• One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

• Procurement Experience

Even better if you have :

• APICS certification, Six-Sigma process Excellence, Lean Green Belt (or an equivalent supply chain certification).

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-starter, detail oriented,

• Team player and willing to cross train across multiple lines of business.

• Experience in the telecom, or high-tech industries.

• Worked with global partners from around the world.

• SAP or Ariba Experience.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
