Job Description

Veramed is recruiting a Senior CMC Statistician to join our growing Functional Service Provider (FSP) team, supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced statistician looking to apply advanced quantitative methods to a broad range of scientific and technical challenges. Working within a highly collaborative environment, you'll partner directly with scientists and researchers to influence key decisions across research, development and manufacturing programmes.

Unlike traditional statistics roles, this position offers exposure to a diverse range of scientific disciplines, data types and analytical approaches, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex real-world problems.

Why Join Us?

  • Influence critical R&D and manufacturing decisions within a global pharmaceutical environment
  • Work on diverse scientific challenges spanning assay development, process development, laboratory automation and manufacturing sciences
  • Gain exposure to cutting-edge analytical approaches, including Bayesian statistics, machine learning, AI and advanced modelling techniques
  • Analyse a variety of complex datasets, including imaging, signal processing, digital health and other high-dimensional data sources
  • Collaborate directly with scientists from study design through to data interpretation and decision-making
  • Join an innovation-focused team that encourages new methodologies and creative problem-solving
  • Benefit from a strong learning culture that supports the development of expertise across new scientific domains
  • Be part of an internationally connected team with opportunities across Europe

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide statistical leadership and expertise across CMC and preclinical projects
  • Design studies and contribute to experimental strategy and hypothesis development
  • Perform end-to-end statistical analyses, including study design, analysis planning, data preparation, analysis and reporting
  • Develop bespoke analytical solutions and data analysis pipelines using modern statistical and programming tools
  • Apply advanced statistical methodologies to address complex scientific questions
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure statistical approaches align with programme objectives
  • Identify and implement innovative analytical methods to enhance existing capabilities
  • Communicate risks, challenges and opportunities that may impact project delivery

We're interested in speaking with statisticians who have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Assay development and analysis
  • Industrial experimental design
  • Pharmaceutical sciences
  • Bayesian statistics
  • Frequentist statistics
  • Machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Process development or manufacturing sciences

You do not need experience across all of these areas. We recognise that the ideal candidate is unlikely to possess every skill listed. We're looking for individuals with strong statistical foundations, intellectual curiosity and a passion for applying quantitative methods to complex scientific problems.

Experience within any of the following areas would be particularly valuable:

  • Signal processing
  • High-frequency data analysis
  • Electrophysiology
  • Digital health technologies
  • Glucose monitoring data
  • High-resolution imaging data analysis

Location:

We're particularly interested in candidates based in Europe and welcome applications from individuals looking to join an internationally focused team in a flexible working environment.

Veramed is a B Corp accredited company which means that we use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy meeting the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
