The Role
Are you a proactive and detail-driven individual with a passion for operational excellence? We’re looking for a Process Controller to join our team, playing a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our water treatment sites.
Working within a robust framework of Quality Assurance and Standard Operating Procedures, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the business to identify and resolve operational challenges before they impact performance or customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement, optimise production assets, and help deliver reliable, high-quality services to our customers.
Role Accountabilities
- Operate, monitor, and optimise water treatment sites to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient performance.
- Maintain required competence, skills, and certification in line with the Water LTO Scheme, ensuring knowledge remains current and up to date.
- Complete all planned cyclic maintenance and operational tasks within agreed timeframes, accurately recording both planned and reactive activities.
- Conduct weekly performance reviews, providing insights, input, and operational support to drive continuous improvement.
- Produce reliable, accurate, and complete asset performance data to support operational decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Analyse process performance and identify recurring issues, recommending and implementing effective, long-term solutions.
- Proactively identify risks to service delivery, compliance, and customer outcomes, taking timely corrective action.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve operational efficiency and optimise production asset performance.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, working towards relevant accredited qualifications alongside completing required health & safety, technical, and behavioural training.
Essential Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade A–C or equivalent), including Maths, English, and a Science or Technology subject
- A full valid UK driving license as travel is required.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret operational data
- Computer literate, with experience in using a range of systems for reporting and recording information
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and accountability
- A resilient, self-motivated mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Effective planning and organisational skills, managing workload and priorities efficiently
- Clear and confident communication skills, able to convey information, data, and insights accurately
- Working knowledge of safe systems of work, company policies, statutory regulations, and operational procedures
- Understanding of maintenance and administration processes relevant to operational environments
