The Role
This is a key role reporting to the Network Performance Manager within the Merseyside Performance Team. The role allows Water Networks to deliver against its strategic targets by the delivery against the Distribution Operations Maintenance Strategy (DOMS), Leakage Customer and Efficiency targets within the regulatory framework. This role is pivotal in helping United Utilities Water Network achieve its vision. You'll ensure that high quality information is produced that enables effective and efficient management of our water resources by identifying areas for leakage detection through analysis of flow, pressure and consumption data playing a critical part in allowing UU to achieve its company leakage target.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Analyse and interpret flow, acoustic, and pressure data to support effective leakage detection across DMA and upstream activities
- Ensure all data and reports are accurate, reliable, and complete, while producing leakage reports for Network Operations
- Monitor and respond to flow changes, identifying leakage issues and directing detection teams accordingly
- Manage and maintain asset and consumption data, ensuring accuracy across corporate systems and reporting tools (e.g. Netbase & INS)
- Coordinate with internal teams, schedule detection work, uphold health & safety standards, and support continuous improvement and personal development
What We Are Looking For:
To be considered for this role you'll need to be educated to a good standard. You'll have an understanding of water network connectivity, pressure control and leakage detection methods as well as understanding the impact Leakage has on UUs vision to be a world class operator of utility infrastructure. You'll also:
- Be proactive and confident in the way you deal with work and in dealing with the wider team
- Have the ability to manage own workload and work on own initiative to strict deadlines
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to work as a team to deliver high performance and have a proven record of achieving goals, objectives and scorecard measures
- Have working experience of Microsoft office applications inc advanced excel knowledge
- Demonstrate experience of Netbase, LMP (or other trending software), Onemap & IWM
- Have experience and a sound working knowledge of Netbase, Onemap and SAP
- Demonstrate the competency to work as part of a high performance team whilst
